Staying fit during the holiday season

             Winters are time for lazing around, cuddling up late in bed, holidays and your license to unlimited eating. It has been seen that maximum people put on weight around the holiday season. There are so many events coming up and then there is the holiday spirit which just makes you forget all your diets and exercise plans and makes you gorge on those pies and turkeys.
 
But there are various ways through which you can remain fit through out the holiday season without having to resist the goodies which are offered to you during the holiday season. It is essential to control your weight in the holiday instead of focusing on loosing weight because the chances of that happening are simply impossible. If you are refusing food and drinks in the holiday season then you have to be crazy. But of course there are ways you can maintain your weight so that you don't have to hide your self under covered swimsuits during the summers.
 
One of the best ways of staying in shape during the holidays is to not miss your workout. So what if you are consuming the same amount of calories that you burnt. At least you are not gaining weight. Have all your favorite foods but after that don't slouch in the corner. Go for a walk, go to the church walking, stand up and dance a little bit or socialize around. While eating it is best to have steaming cups of soups or stew before you pile your plates. This way you will feel less hungry and you can enjoy some good hot soup. Don't over eat because it is the holiday season or you will become sick. Eat so that you enjoy the taste of your food without being sick. Have a glass of warm water after your meal, this will aid in the process of digestion. Also try and have healthier food in other regular meals so that you can make up for this calorie laden treat. And most of all enjoy the holiday season without being guilty you can always shed off those kilos through a couple of extra workout days.
